SEED Foundation is a charity organization focusing on futureproofing our youths in the technology-driven economy. They have hosted a number of programs, ECAs and competitions to bolster the development of the youth in Hong Kong to adapt to the ever-growing IT-centric job market in the near future.
Build a new website, follow creative direction, and update the corporate image and needs
IdeaPOP! 2025 is an annual startup competition organized for more than 100+ secondary schools, sponsored by Citi and EDB. We took reference to some of their previous editions of IdeaPOP! to create an interactive UI design for the competition landing page.
The theme of IdeaPOP! 2025 competition focuses on data security with a design direction of a techy, cyberpunk feel. With the guidance of the SEED Foundation team and designer, we aimed to create an interactive UI design for their competition landing page
Our objective was to create an aesthetic landing page utilizing design directions provided by SEED Foundation and interactive content to attract the youth to register and participate in the IdeaPOP! competition. We wanted to go above and beyond with the design of the UI and made sure there was ample room for improvement when revising the drafts with the SEED Foundation team.
We had the opportunity to work with SEED Foundation’s team during the project phase where clear design directions were established including the cyberpunk art style, tech-infused color palette, and fonts handpicked by the SEED Foundation team. They have given us a lot of resources to commence the UI design phase where we went through multiple rounds of revisions to align the look of the UI.
Our web development then created a beautiful standalone website with the theme of cyberpunk as the main design concept. The website aims to create a competition application and results page for new users to directly apply to. Our UI/UX designer collaborated with SEED foundation’s graphic designer to create a unique design and execution of the website that can attract and engage the intended target audience, the youth.
Feedback from participants highlighted the website’s role in enhancing their understanding of the competition structure. Overall, the website has played a crucial role in the success of IdeaPOP! 2025, driving both engagement and competitive spirit among Hong Kong’s youth.
